Ocean Monitoring

A new European Marine Board Working Group is assessing how obsolete, active and newly laid submarine telecommunication cables can strengthen ocean monitoring. Its kick-off meeting was held at IMREDD, Université Côte d'Azur, in Nice on 8 September 2026.

Our team will present four contributions at the Ocean Sciences Meeting in Glasgow, Scotland, showcasing new advances in Distributed Acoustic Sensing for ocean monitoring, biodiversity, and geodesy.
