We are pleased to welcome Khanh Truong, a PhD Candidate from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), who is currently visiting our lab for one month.
Khanh’s research at NTNU focuses on automatic detection methods in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data. During his visit, Khanh is collaborating with Laurine Andres to test his advanced AI algorithms for fin whale detection using DAS data collected in the Mediterranean Sea.
NTNU is a key player in DAS applications for ocean science, and we are excited about the insights and progress this collaboration will bring to our understanding of marine bioacoustics.
You can learn more about Khanh’s work on his NTNU profile.
