Welcome! I’m a CNRS researcher with a background in geophysics, working at Géoazur, the Earth Science laboratory of University Côte d’Azur and the Côte d’Azur Observatory.
My research journey began with a deep dive into the mechanics of earthquakes, particularly on the imagery of what happens during the largest seismic events. More recently, I’ve pivoted to a new and exciting frontier: using photonic technology, and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) in particular, to turn existing fiber optic telecom cables into a vast network of environmental sensors: seismic, acoustic, temperature… This approach is providing unprecedented insights into various geophysical and environmental processes.
At Géoazur, and within our dynamic Seismology teams (Seismic Cycle and Hazard & Risk), we often have opportunities for student internships and visitors, so feel free to contact us.
